Robust Sweet 16 Woodturning Lathe

The Robust Sweet 16 woodturning lathe offers a lot of capacity in a small package. Watch as Robust Tools owner and lathe designer Brent English demonstrates making a 32" cherry table on the Sweet 16 ...

The Sweet 16 is a "convertible" lathe. It has a 16" swing over the stainless steel ways and there is a section of bed that can be quickly and easily removed, increasing the swing to a full 32"! The section of bed, once removed, can be mounted either at the end of the lathe, for turning long spindles or on the headstock, perpendicularly to the axis, so the back side of large pieces can be turned.

"When asked how the Sweet 16 compares to other convertible lathes on the market, I reply with: The Sweet 16 has comparable features, but has stainless steel ways, powder coating, a Leeson motor and VFD, a superior 7-year warranty, is US made and supported and costs nearly $1000 less than the competition. Why would you choose anything else?"
