The genuine Ellsworth Jig, designed and used by one of the world's most renowned woodturners, provides the very universally useful Ellsworth grind. This jig will accommodate 5/8" diameter (marketed as a ½" gouge) deep fluted bowl gouges. The Crown Pro PM signature Ellsworth gouge, which is slightly larger, will fit too.

Want a perfect Ellsworth grind? Take the guess work out of the equation- If you choose to use a genuine Ellsworth Jig, which has a fixed architecture, and use it in conjunction with Geiger's Vertical Solution, which is provided with three set-up gages, you don't have to figure anything out.

The Ellsworth Jig comes with an Improved Screw that has a round knob and, most importantly, a tip that swivels. The swivel tip improves the security of the position of the gouge and prevents the gouge from moving when tightened- improving the precision.
